My name is Heather Hunter

As a dedicated registered Social Worker, my primary goal is to guide individuals through life's challenges and help them realize their full potential. My therapeutic approach is firmly grounded in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), a proven framework that places emphasis on acceptance, mindfulness, and valued action.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, I have worked with clients facing a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. I firmly believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with each individual to create a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to their needs and goals.

One of the fundamental principles of ACT is accepting uncomfortable thoughts and emotions rather than trying to suppress or avoid them. I help clients cultivate greater awareness and acceptance of their thoughts and feelings through mindfulness techniques and other evidence-based practices. I also work with clients to identify their core values and goals and develop strategies to align their actions with those values.

My goal as a therapist is to empower individuals to live a rich, whole life aligned with their values and aspirations. I am deeply passionate about my work and feel privileged to be a part of each client's journey toward greater well-being and fulfillment. This passion drives me to inspire and motivate my clients every step of the way.
